i would say its easier to buy one the bigger your town is. with more size you will want everything you can to be easy as possible. Managing and building important things will take up alot of time no need to waist effort.

Items are cheaper during promo's then they will be in the EP store. 20-25% less
Would this imply that a Trading Post ($50) will cost about 925 EP ($75)?
Edit* Sorry, meant to say the Trading post would be about 750EP, since the Trading Post goes for $50, which would get you 600 EP.
However, you'd need to buy the 600EP ($50) + 275EP ($25) to cover that.
Cheaper during promos as everyone has pointed out. You can probably hold off though and wait for next year's sale. We likely will not see exposition until 2-3 years later. This is not a dig at the studio mind you. Just an estimate based on the current pace of development
Much easier just buying what you want for exposition. It is cheaper, plus you go to one NPC and get all the materials. then go to another and get the work force to build it. just waiting and building it you will have to hit individual vendors for each building material and possible the same to get workers. Its a two stop shop if the promo building is used.
