so much unclaimed territory

So finally got in today to lay claim to land in game. i noticed there is a ton of land open for claims. Is this any indication of the size of the land versus the actual population for game? Here i thought i was late to the party for missing communications about claims, but seems its nothing to even be concerned about!

Thoughts?

I notice that many of the settlements in my area that are unclaimed have a population that would require a player to start with a character that is Hrothi or Kypiq and it makes me wonder if these races are less desired by players. My server is Luna, so I do not know if it correlates in your server.

I'm in a settlement in mainly Hrothi area and couldnt be happier as that is the one tribe I was hoping to play. I am also on Luna.

I have a nice trading town on a river in my county still unclaimed. It was going to be the spot of a mayor who upgraded to county and went elsewhere right before DSS.

Because NA-E is like a magnet for most NA groups imo.

And yet, Luna folks are always posting on topics here in the Angelica forums. There's already 3 in this thread alone. Grass must be really green on Angelica. :)

Just make the switch. You're here already.

It is because these posts appear on the front page, or whatever it is called, and I read them before realizing that it is NA West.

I hope SBS thins out the settlements that are unclaimed. First of all there are some that want a spot to build their own settlement maybe, second we got places to discover, third it will widen the distances for traveling, fourth certain ressources are still up to be discovered. Even if the map resembles a world, I doubt 6000+ settlements are a good estimation... kinda modern state of placements. Habitability was way rougher in the old ages....

Can't do that. People picked their Counties and Dutchies based on those settlement numbers. Would be unfair to change them.
